Tom graduated from college in 1970 and immediately started in financial services. This has been his career.
The philosophy followed at Taylor Padgett is holistic. We think that money is only a part of planning and therefore encourage our clients to coordinate the financial, legal, spiritual, social and physical components of their lives. Tom tries to practice what he preaches and has a wonderful balance to his life. As part of the social aspect, he has been heavily involved in community health care issues for the past 24 years as a board member of the Verde Valley Medical Center. At the same time, he is involved in health care projects that try to solve problems one on one.
In addition to the health care issues, he sits on the governing board of Missouri Valley College, the board of directors of Quintas, Inc. (a manufacturing firm) and is a past-president of both Rotary and Camp Verde Chamber of Commerce.
In 2010, Governor Brewer appointed him to the Appellate Court Commission for the State of Arizona.
As you can tell by his picture, he likes to be active. Whether bird watching, hunting, fishing, running or hiking, it is fun to be in the out of doors.

Charlie served as a U.S. Army Infantry Officer in Viet Nam in 1967 and 1968. The opportunity and responsibility to lead men in combat was a defining period in his life. During his time in Viet Nam, he was decorated for valor twice and wounded twice.
Upon his return to civilian life, he embarked on his career in financial services in January of 1969.
One of Charlie's joys is helping clients explore their dreams and legacy. It was from these exercises that he and Taylor & Padgett created their motto: Wealth and Legacy strategies.
It has been Charlie's privelidge to give back to his community by serving on numerous boards, including Southwestern College, Prescott College and Adult Care Services. At Taylor & Padgett, one of our passions is charitable giving; putting action to vision. Charlie served 15 years as the chair of a charitable foundation.
Charlie and his wife, Diana, delight in living on their "farm" in Skull Valley. Activities Charlie enjoys are hunting, fishing, travel and gardening.

Jodi joined Charlie Taylor’s office in 1983 as an assistant, and fell in love with the industry. While the financial planning industry has evolved immensely since then, Jodi found the continued education challenging and rewarding. She takes the motto of Taylor & Padgett Financial Group to heart – by striving to partner with people who want to make wise decisions about money and who endeavor to leave a legacy – both personal and financial. This is probably why Jodi sometimes refers to herself as a “philanthropist in progress”.
She is very involved in the community. Some of her passions include: advisory board member of Yavapai County Community Foundation, sits on the Investment Committee of the Arizona Community Foundation since 2004, Treasurer of the Highlands Center for Natural History, member of the Preventative Elder Abuse Council, and finance committee member of the Yavapai County Humane Society. In November of 2010, she was awarded the Philanthropist Leadership Award of Yavapai County.
Jodi is a breast cancer survivor, and has participated in the 3-day 60 mile walk for the last 3 years, and plans to continue to do the walk until they find a cure. For the personal stuff…She has a fabulous son, Jake. Blessed to live in the small community of Skull Valley, Arizona. Her hobbies include work (she hasn’t figured out that work is not a hobby!), she loves all that goes into the world of growing wine grapes, and is a partner in Painted Lady Vineyard. She also loves to read and is a member of a small Book Club.
